Get to know John
Staunton Augusta Waynesboro Handyman
I am starting a business doing things that I enjoy doing which are working with my hands and helping people. I spent a lot of time hanging out with my granddad learning to work with my hands doing tile work and various things around the house. One of the most valuable lessons I took from him is "You are getting paid to do a job, so do it to the best of your ability and do it right the first time so you don't have to do it a second time for free. If you are honest and do what you say you are going to do, you will always have work." I also acquired knowledge from uncles who worked in the trades and these experiences encouraged me to go to Valley Tech to learn masonry skills. I was preparing to enter the work force upon graduation until I was approached about playing sports in a few different colleges. I ended up deciding to go to college ultimately pursuing a degree to teach which is what I have been doing for the past 7 years in Waynesboro City.
I am happily married to my wife Robyn (14 yrs) and we have 3 awesome children Ryker (9), Elliana (3) and Baylen (1). Robyn is a 4th grade teacher in Augusta County and has been serving the Riverheads Community for 14 years. Ryker loves sports, being outside, and collecting coins. Elliana is a sassy yet sweet girl who is discovering she likes gymnastics, jumping on the trampoline and challenging her parents. Baylen is pretty chill until you take his food or his brother and sister go outside without him. Ryker and Elliana have developed an affinity for the "Hilly Billies" (The Beverly Hillbillies) and Green Acres.
